What Do You Daydream About?

Hello.

I promised you at least one blog a month, but I have to be honest. I don't want to give you crap. I don't want to write just to write. I want to give you quality work that sparks thought, insight, inspiration. I started the April blog three times this month and wasn't pleased with the message. So here we are, almost May. I'm finally able to share something that I hope you can sit with or relate to. This one is from a real place. Here goes.

Many of you know about my words of the year from the past years. Combined, they have carried me through the journey of self discovery to a happier and healthier me. My words were chosen each year based on what I needed at the time.

2015: DREAMbig.

2016: Be GUTSY

2017: Have FAITH

2018: Be TRUE

2019: and Witness MIRACLE

Although I am happily engulfed in my 2019 word of the year, Miracle, I find myself coming back to my other words here lately. For some silly reason, I have to remind myself that those other words don't get to retire just because I'm on a new word this year.

Living with these words each year as my guide has led me to:

  • Imagine a life I wanted not just one that was happening to me,

  • Take leaps from my safe comfort zone,

  • Trust timing and believe in purpose and power,

  • Accept truths and become more comfortable with sharing my story,

  • And witness miracles. Understanding that there are no coincidences. Everything is a miracle. We are being guided if we just trust, believe, and manifest.

What do you daydream about? What thought can you not shake? What occupies your mind that brings you joy to think about? What makes your soul happy to think about that you're not currently living yet?

Once upon a time, I dreamed of being a writer. Having a writing platform was so far fetched to me only five years ago. Once upon a time I dreamed of being a health coach and partnering with people so they too can live happy, healthy lives.

You see- manifesting requires dreaming. Allowing yourself the mental space to think and imagine the possibility of what you want to happen. It requires the leap and trust. It's trusting that the universe has your back. It's standing in your truth even if it makes you feel alone. Standing in your truth has been a scary one to live in for me. So often it feels like we're alone, when in fact it's the opposite. Sometimes being the one person to stand up and speak your truth encourages others to stand in theirs, even if not at the same time as you. People stand in their truth in their own time. Manifesting is being open to witnessing miracle moments.

From one dreamer to another- we got this!

Let's manifest on my friend.

What word do you need to carry you through? To inspire your leap? To help you dream and plan to get you to do the things that light your soul on fire?

Optional Exercise:

Take 5-10 minutes for yourself at this very moment. Draw a line down the middle of a blank page.

On the left side, make a list of things you do that make you happy. On the right side, make a list of things you do every day. Compare your lists. Adjust accordingly.

Happy April (Almost May).
